About me

Hello! My name is Paige Davis. I will be an upcoming junior at Cheyenne Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming. At school, I am on the track team. I will also be part of the yearbook class this year. I also am a journalist for the school website and sports photographer. Outside of school, I am a competitive figure skater and a part-time coach for the Cheyenne Ice and Event Center. I love to go outside to camp, hike, and visit national parks. Alongside that, I’m also up for an adventure.

What is WJMC

In July of 2026, I will be traveling to Washington, D.C., to participate in the Washington Journalism & Media Conference. I am in the first session, which will be held from July 12 to July 17 at George Mason University. During my week at WJMC, I will have the opportunity to listen to a diverse lineup of speakers. That includes: Savannah Berhrmann on Sunday, Allie Weiskopf and Anna Layden on Monday, Andrais White Murdaugh and Nadgenna Jerome on Tuesday, Carmella Boykin, Devlin Barrett and Patrick Money on Wednesday, Senator Barrasso on Thursday, and Sam Wolfe on Friday. One thing I’m super excited to do includes my field assignment at the Library of Congress. Additionally, I am thrilled at the prospect of meeting many new people from across the United States.

I will be documenting my trip through this website, as well as my Instagram page (@wjmc_paiged). I plan to write about each day in detail, capturing the essence of my journey. Additionally, I will be interviewing my state’s Senator to discuss important issues that affect our community. On my Instagram, I will be posting small recaps of each day. As well as pictures here and there. At the end of the conferences I will be writing blogs about each day. Expect a mix of inspiration and storytelling that will bring you along on this adventure. So stay tuned for updates that promise to be both informative and entertaining!
